The City of Allen Waste Services Division will open the new Allen Chemical Reuse Center (ACRC) inside the Allen Municipal Service Center, 900 S. Greenville, on Thursday, October 4. The ACRC will redistribute household products such as bleach, ammonia, household cleaners, latex paint, spray paint, wood stains, herbicides, pesticides, grout sealers, automotive products, pool chemicals and much more.
All ACRC items were collected from Allen residents that utilized the city’s free Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) curbside pickup program. These collected materials will now be redistributed to the community free of charge through the ACRC. In order to pick up products through the center, residents will need to verify Allen address by showing a recent utility bill and driver’s license.
The CRC will be open every Thursday from noon to 2 p.m. Hours are subject to the availability of city staff and volunteer support, and are subject to change.
To volunteer at the ACRC, please contact Casey Bennett at 214-509-4555 or email cbennett@cityofallen.org for more details.
