Allen Police administered the oath of office for eight new officers and one promotion to Corporal during a ceremony on Friday, Dec. 8.
Chaplain Bates Richmond led the assembled crowd in an invocation followed by Chief Brian Harvey thanking officers and their families for their commitment to public safety.
The ceremony began with recognition and promotion of Officer Kevin Bartlett to Corporal after more than four years with the Allen Police Department.
Following Corporal Bartlett’s oath, Damien Jacobs, Michael Carter, Christopher Olander, Laine Strickland, John Pena, Casey Crocker, Bryan Madden, and Jordan Fuller were recognized for successful completion of all required trainings and sworn in. All of the officers were joined by their families who assisted in the pinning of their badges after the oaths.
