Celebration Park has been named a winner of the esteemed 2017 Fields of Excellence award by Pioneer Athletics, recognizing the hard work from Allen Parks and Recreation’s maintenance staff for keeping the park’s athletic fields in excellent condition year-round.
Athletics leagues and special events like the annual Market Street Allen USA Celebration are held at Celebration Park throughout the year, requiring the fields to be carefully maintained from soil to grass and even surface paint for sports leagues.
The 2017 Fields of Excellence award was only presented to 91 fields nationwide with 16 winners of the award being in Texas. This is the first time one of Allen’s fields has been recognized by the award.
Pioneer Athletics is based out of Cleveland, Ohio, and specializes in natural and synthetic field maintenance products.
