The City of Allen’s forestry crew is removing and replacing about a dozen trees in two roadway medians as a part of a beautification project.
A mix of hackberry and bois d’arc trees that are in decline due to parasitic growth are being removed and replaced with Princeton Elms, Chinquapin Oaks and Chinese Pistache in the 1700 block of N. Allen Heights Drive, extending about 50 yards north and south of Kenya Drive.
