Local candidate events and voters guides can help inform your decision at the ballot box. Here are three ways to educate yourself.
- Attend the candidate forum on Tuesday, April 17. Visit with candidates for Allen City Council and Allen ISD trustees at Allen Public Library from 6-6:30 p.m. A forum moderated by the League of Women Voters of Collin County runs from 6:30-8 p.m.
- Hear from local candidates at "Eggs and Issues." Meet candidates for local city and school board elections, including Allen and Fairview councils and AISD/LISD candidates. This breakfast event is hosted by the Allen-Fairview Chamber of Commerce. Pre-registration required.
- Review local voters guides. Both the League of Women Voters of Collin County and Dallas Morning News offer helpful guides to introduce voters to local candidate and issues. Voters may also enter their address at Vote411.org to compare candidates' responses.
