Join thousands of North Texans committed to staying phone-free while driving! Pick up a free thumb band at City of Allen facilities and celebrate #myredthumbday on May 10.
The North Texas Tollway Authority launched the Red Thumb campaign to give drivers a visual reminder of their pledge to keep their hands on the wheel. Free thumb bands imprinted with the phrase “W8 2 TXT” are available at Allen City Hall, Allen Municipal Court, Allen Public Library and any NTTA Customer Service Center.
Don’t want to wear a thumb band? How about painting your thumb nail red? Or writing “STOP” with a red Sharpie? Anything that makes you think twice before reaching for your phone while driving gets a “thumbs up” from us.
