[ARCHIVED] Two Elections, Two Trips to the Polls

Allen voters have two reasons to head to the polls between now and June 16.

The Primary Runoff Election on May 22 will decide several local and statewide Democratic and Republican primary races in which no candidate received more than 50% of the vote. Voters who voted in the March Primary will vote in the same primary. New voters will be able to choose to vote in the Democratic or Republic primary. This election sets the contenders for the General Election in November. Early voting will be held May 14-18 with election day on May 22. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Learn more on the Collin County Elections website.

The City of Allen Runoff Election on June 16 will determine the winner of Allen City Councilmember Place No. 3. Voters may cast their ballots at the Collin County Elections Office, Allen Municipal Courts Facility, Anna City Hall or Prosper Municipal Chambers. Early voting will be held during the following times:

  • June 4-6 and June 8-9: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • June 7 and June 11-12: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • June 16 (Election Day): 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
