Many City of Allen facilities will close or observe limited hours during the Independence Day holiday. For questions about facilities not listed below, please contact the facility directly.

• Allen Animal Shelter: Closed Wednesday, July 4
• Allen Community Ice Rink: Open July 4; open skate from 1-3:30 p.m.
• Allen Event Center Box Office: Closed Wednesday, July 4
• Allen Public Library: Closed Tuesday, July 4. No materials due while closed.
• Allen Senior Recreation Center: Closed Wednesday, July 4
• City of Allen Municipal Complex (including Municipal Court): Closed Wednesday, July 4
• The Courses at Watters Creek: Open July 4; driving range, golf shop and Grill 33 will close at 5:30 p.m.
• Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium: Closed Wednesday, July 4
• The Edge Visitor Center: Closed July 4; skate park open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• Ford Pool: Open 1-6 p.m. on July 4
• Joe Farmer Recreation Center: Closed Wednesday, July 4

Community Waste Disposal will not pick up trash or recycling on Wednesday, July 4. Collection will slide one day, ending with Friday’s trash and recycling routes being collected on Saturday.
