The City of Allen will spend $1.4 million to replace worn concrete throughout the city and build new left turn lanes into two neighborhoods. Allen City Council awarded the bid during the August 28 meeting.
The project is part of ongoing maintenance to replace aging, cracked and failing pavement across the city. By removing worn or damage panels on a regular basis, the lifespan of the roadway is extended.
The budget includes the construction of left turn lanes along southbound Angel Parkway at Harvest Glen Drive and Country Bend. These new lanes will allow for safer left turns into the neighborhoods.
