Allen City Television took top honors at the 33rd Annual Government Programming Awards (GPA) hosted by the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA). The awards program honors excellence in broadcast, cable, multimedia and electronic programming produced by local government agencies. This year NATOA received more than 880 entries submitted by local governments across the country.
For the eighth time since 2007, Allen City Television (ACTV) received first place in the Overall Excellence category for its budget category. Excellence in Programming awards are judged on the agency's variety of programming quality throughout the year.
