Holly Jolly Celebration November 30
The City of Allen’s Holly Jolly Celebration featuring the Annual Christmas Tree Lighting will be held in and around the Library on Friday, November 30, from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.
To facilitate event set-up, the Library’s parking lot immediately north of the courtyard will be closed all day, and the remaining Library parking will close at 3:00 p.m. as will the streets around the Library (Allen, Coates, and St. Mary).
The Library itself will also close at 3:00 p.m. except the Gallery area for related indoor activities in the Civic Auditorium and Library Meeting Room.
The outside book returns on Coates Drive will not be readily accessible from 3:00 to 10:00 p.m. Anything due on November 30 will not be considered late until the Library opens at 1 p.m. on Sunday, December 2. Rudolph Run and Donner Dash December 1
On December 1, the streets around the Library will be closed at 7:30 a.m. for the 5K Rudolph Run and .5K Donner Dash and re-open at approximately 9:30 a.m. The Library will observe normal Saturday hours, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. During the event, the drive-through book drops will not be accessible. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Allen Rotary Christmas Parade December 2
The Library will remain open on Sunday, December 2, during the Allen Rotary Christmas Parade that begins at 2:00 p.m. However, streets around the Library will be closed from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Library parking lots and book drops will not be accessible until the parade ends and streets re-open. The Library will observe normal Sunday hours, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
