Forest Work at Stacy Ridge Park

Stacy Ridge

The forest at Stacy Ridge Park is scheduled to be thinned and pruned, weather-permitting, beginning Tuesday, April 23.

The operation will take 2 to 3 days to complete and will “open” the wooded area to increase visibility through the forest, similar to the forest work that has been done at Celebration Park.

The process will include high-powered and dangerous equipment, so the forest and hike-and-bike trails in the immediate area will be temporarily closed for public safety. Signs and barricades will be posted to temporarily redirect trail users around the work site.

For questions and more information, please contact Jesse Simmons, City Forester, at 214.509.3330.
