Some Allen Parks & Recreation facilities, including outdoor athletic courts and indoor fitness floors, will reopen May 18-26 as the City of Allen works to safely expand services previously impacted by COVID-19.
This phased return to operations is planned to align with state guidelines and protect the health of both citizens and staff.
On Monday, May 18, outdoor athletic courts (basketball and volleyball) will reopen with a limit of 4 people per court; tennis courts previously reopened on May 1. The Edge Skate Park will also reopen Monday, May 18. The Edge Visitor Center will remain closed.
Fitness floors at Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium and Joe Farmer Recreation Center will open to members only on Tuesday, May 26. To meet occupancy limits, members must reserve a workout time beginning Friday, May 22.

The Parks and Recreation Administration Building front office will reopen May 22 to facilitate customer inquiries and future rental/activity registrations. Please call 214.509.4700 for questions and prior to coming to the office to ensure social distancing when you arrive.
A modified roster of summer camps and activities will be announced soon, with a start date no earlier than June 15. Starting on May 22, ball field reservations will be accepted for rental dates on or after June 15. To reserve a ball field, call 214.509.4714.
