A recent article in Dallas Innovates named the DFW region as a leading center for technology, financial services and professional services. It boasts the seventh-largest concentration of tech jobs in the U.S. with approximately 3,000 technology companies and nearly 230,000 high-tech employees.
Allen is seeing that same surge in technology, with nearly 6% annual growth of technology jobs over the past three years. That is 4% higher than the national average. Companies like Boss Fight Entertainment and Newline Interactive are examples of new tech companies that now call Allen home.
In addition to the tech industry, the financial services sector is also growing in Allen with a 36% increase in financial services jobs over the past three years. With companies like Credit Union of Texas and Highlands Residential Mortgage recently coming to Allen, it is clear to see where this increase is coming from.
