City of Allen offices and facilities are closed for the Thanksgiving holiday Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27. Trash and recycling collection will slide one day—Thursday collection moves to Friday, and Friday collection moves to Saturday. Find your collection day.
Allen Public Library is closed Nov. 26-27, with no library materials due during this time. Curbside service resumes Saturday, Nov. 28, and the library facility reopens Monday, Nov. 30.
Allen Parks and Recreation closures
Most recreation facilities are closed Nov. 26-27, with the exception of The Edge Skate Park and Allen Community Ice Rink. Find more facility information at LifeInAllen.org.
- The Edge Skate Park is closed Thursday, Nov. 26, and resumes normal business hours Friday, Nov. 27 (8 a.m. to 11 p.m.).
- Allen Community Ice Rink is closed Thursday, Nov. 26, and reopens Friday, Nov. 27 for regular programs (Open Skate is 1:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.).
