City offices and facilities are closed for the Christmas holiday Friday, Dec. 24 and Monday, Dec. 27. Trash and recycling collection will slide one day—Friday collection moves to Saturday, and Monday collection moves to Tuesday. Bulk trash will not be collected Dec. 25 or Jan. 1. Bulk pickup will resume on Jan. 8.

Allen Public Library closes at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23 and remains closed through Monday, Dec. 27. The facility reopens at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 28.

Allen Parks and Recreation facilities are closed Dec. 24-25, with exception to Allen Community Ice Rink and The Edge Skate Park. See facility hours below.

• Allen Community Ice Rink is open Dec. 24 for regular programming and closed Dec. 25
• The Edge Skate Park is open on Dec. 24 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed Dec. 25
