City offices and facilities are closed for the New Year holiday on Friday, Dec. 31. Friday trash collection will slide to Saturday. Find your collection day

Allen Public Library is closed Dec. 31 through Jan. 1 with no materials due during this time. The facility reopens Sunday, Jan. 2 from 1 to 5 p.m.

Allen Parks and Recreation facilities are closed Dec. 31, with exception to The Edge Skate Park which is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Facility hours vary on Saturday, Jan. 1. See hours below.

• Allen Community Ice Rink: Open for regular programming
• Allen Senior Recreation Center: Closed
• Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Joe Farmer Recreation Center: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• The Edge Skate Park: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.
• The Edge Visitor Center: Noon to 8 p.m.
