The annual rainbow trout restocking at Bethany Lake's Horseshoe Pond takes place on Friday, Dec. 10.
Before you grab your rod and reel, please note our partner hatchery, Texas Parks and Wildlife, is experiencing feed supply shortages which have slowed the growth rate of our favorite catchable sporting fish. This year the trout at Horseshoe Pond are anticipated to be smaller than normal.
As always, a fishing license is required to fish in area ponds and lakes if you're over age 16. We encourage you to practice "catch and release" so that more fish can attend school!
