Did you place extra trash bags for collection after Christmas? If your extra bags appear to have been missed, it’s because many collection points included oversized bags which were too big for the cart. These oversized bags also are too heavy to be thrown by CWD workers into the truck hopper.
When placing extra bags for collection, please use 30-gallon or smaller trash bags weighing less than 40 pounds. This service is not automated pickup by the truck and requires workers to be able to lift the bags.
Extra trash bag pickup (five bags maximum) is offered to Allen residents on their service day the week after Christmas. This is the first time we have experienced the issue with super-sized bags being used. Thank you for your patience!
