April is Financial Literacy Month! Take advantage of two learning opportunities at Allen Public Library and explore the consumer research resources available at AllenLibrary.org.

Identity Theft | Wednesday, April 6 at 7 p.m.
Corporal Mike Spillman and Detective Matt Bryant from Allen Police Department discuss the Texas laws that cover fraud and identity theft, common scams, how to protect your personal information, and what to do if you become a victim of a scam or identity theft. Open to ages 18+.

Scams and Cryptocurrency | Wednesday, April 20 at 7 p.m.
What is cryptocurrency? Is it a good investment? Find out more about this digital currency and the scams surrounding it from Henry Lessner. Henry is a certified financial planner for Southport Capital and is active in leadership roles with many organizations in Allen and Fairview. Open to ages 18+.
