Three members of Allen PD were promoted on Thursday, April 7. Congratulations to Lieutenant Jason Erter, Sergeant Matt Koehrsen and Corporal Nolan Murray.
Lieutenant Jason Erter
Lieutenant Erter began his career in law enforcement in Florida in 2004. He returned to Texas in 2006 and joined Allen Police Department. Lieutenant Erter has served in the Patrol Services Division, Community Relations Unit, Professional Standards Unit and the School Resource Officer Unit. He says he feels fortunate to have had the opportunities afforded him by the department and is excited about the upcoming move and getting to know his team.
Sergeant Matt Koehrsen
Sergeant Koehrsen was hired by Allen Police Department after high school as a Detention Officer. After finishing his college degree, he applied and was hired as a Patrol Officer. Sergeant Koehrsen spent several years in the Patrol Division before being recently selected as a K9 Officer/Handler. Sergeant Koehrsen holds a Master Peace Officer license, a TCOLE Instructor certification and is a member of the Honor Guard. Sergeant Koehrsen has 15 years experience with Allen PD.
Corporal Nolan Murray
Corporal Murray was hired by the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office in Carthage, Missouri in 2013. He was assigned to the Patrol Services Division and also served on the SWAT Team. Corporal Murray moved to Texas and was hired by Allen Police Department in 2018. In the four years he's been with Allen PD, Corporal Murray has been assigned to the Patrol Services Division. Corporal Murray is a certified TCOLE Instructor and holds an Advanced Peace Officer License.
