[ARCHIVED] Allen Police welcomes Officer Michael Cambiano and Officer Lawrence Williams

Allen Police Department welcomed two new police officers on July 8. Officer Michael Cambiano and Officer Lawrence Williams bring years of law enforcement experience and service to the department. Congratulations and welcome to the team!

Officer Michael Cambiano
Officer Cambiano grew up in Galveston. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy. He then attended Saint Leo University where he received a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and a master's degree in Business Administration with specialization in Information Security. Michael moved to the North Texas area and was accepted into the Dallas Police Department. While at DPD, he was a member of the Mobile Field Force team, Street Racing Task Force and the Crime Response/Deployment Team. During this time, Michael received six commendations, a certificate of merit and a life-saving award. He was hired by Allen Police Department in June.

Officer Lawrence Williams
Officer Williams was raised in southern California. He attended Hawthorne High School where he developed a passion for playing baseball. He continued to succeed in baseball through college, and signed on to play for the Atlanta Braves in the Minor Leagues. Following his baseball career, Lawrence was hired by the Hawthorne Police Department where he served as a patrol officer and later became a field training officer. During his career in law enforcement, Lawrence received a bachelors in science in criminology from Arizona State University and completed his Master’s degree in public administration from National University. He was hired by Allen Police Department in June.
