Clear the Shelters comes to Allen Animal Shelter this month!

From Aug. 24-31, all pet adoptions at Allen Animal Shelter will be free. On Saturday, Aug. 27, the shelter will host a Clear the Shelters event which will include vendors and fun activities on site during their adoption hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Allen Animal Shelter is currently open on an appointment-only schedule. To schedule an appointment to visit an animal, call 214.509.4378. Keep up to date on shelter hours, events and adoptable pets on Facebook or the City of Allen's website.

This free adoption period is part of the annual Clear the Shelters event, which takes place nationwide throughout the month of August.

Donate blood while visiting potential pets! Carter Bloodcare will host a blood drive at Allen Animal Shelter on Aug. 24 from noon to 4 p.m.
