Business Development Supervisor - Apply now
Develop the marketing plan for the Parks and Recreation Department and assist with generation of member sales. This is accomplished by developing and implementing marketing plans, implementing prospecting strategies, conducting facility tours, and providing membership sales data reports and statistics. Other duties include working with departments to collaborate on marketing strategies and assisting with membership enrollments. This position does not provide direction to other employees.

Building Maintenance Program Manager - Apply now
Plan, coordinate and supervise the daily maintenance operations of the facility. This is accomplished by supervising work crews, coordinating building maintenance services and third-party custodial staff, and managing warranty-related issues. Other duties include administrative tasks, performing minor repairs, and preparing bids. This position provides direction to helpers, assistants, seasonal employees, interns, volunteers or temporary employees.

Assistant Facility Manager - Apply now
Assist with management, operations and programming of the facility. This is accomplished by supervising assigned staff, overseeing facility operations, revenue-generating programming, and customer service levels, ensuring optimal operations, completing daily revenue/expenses reporting, and general maintenance of the facility. Other duties include interfacing with other city employees, and citizens and acting on behalf of the manager in their absence. This position provides direction to other employees.

Facility Amenities
Allen residents prioritized key features of the new recreation center through public meetings, workshops and online surveys. Current facility plans include:

  • Two gymnasiums featuring three courts for recreation and up to eight courts for competitive play (multiple sports and activities)
  • Indoor play spaces to engage younger users
  • An indoor walk/jog track with both flat and inclined/stair options
  • Group fitness areas for aerobics, dance and spin classes
  • Weights and cardio areas for independent fitness
  • Child watch area
  • Catering kitchen
  • Outdoor fitness deck
