String the lights and pass the hot cocoa—it’s holiday season in Allen! Hayrides, face painting and family memories await during these special events through December.

(Dec. 2) Join Allen Philharmonic Symphony Chorus for “From Darkness to Light,” a Christmas concert designed to move the audience from quiet, thoughtful musings to the excitement and joy of the holiday season.

(Dec. 3) Celebrate the season at the Holly Jolly Celebration featuring tons of festive activities, holiday food and drinks and the grand lighting of a 46-foot Christmas tree with more than 20,000 lights! 

(Dec. 3, 10) The Village at Allen will host its Home for the Holidays event at The Grove, featuring music, carolers, hot cocoa, crafts, cupcake decorating, visits with Santa Claus and train rides.

(Dec. 4) Gather the family and watch the Allen Rotary Club’s annual Christmas Parade through downtown Allen. This year’s theme is “Home for the Holidays.”

(Dec. 4) During the Tea with the Sugar Plum Fairy event, guests are welcomed into the Snow Queen’s Kingdom and are served tea, lemonade and treats, while characters from our favorite holiday traditional ballet visit each table and tell the story of “The Nutcracker.” 

(Dec. 7) At “Happy British Christmas,” you’ll learn to make traditional snapping Christmas "crackers" and little mince pies, all while enjoying a 'cuppa and some tasty British treats!

(Dec. 10) Come stop by the North Pole to meet Santa and create toys as an honorary elf. Participants can purchase gifts from Santa's toy shop, enjoy breakfast with Santa, and take a picture with Santa. Register here.

(Dec. 10) Roll over to The Edge Skate Park for a fun-filled day of BMX, skateboard and scooter competitions as we ring in the holiday break with a bash. Learn more.

(Dec. 10) Enjoy the spirit of the season with an annual musical celebration at Watters Creek Village! The Allen Philharmonic welcomes everyone of all ages to the MERRY TUBACHRISTMAS Concert in Allen.

(Dec. 11) Join the Allen Heritage Guild for an "Old-Fashioned Christmas" celebration and open house at the Allen Heritage Village!

(Dec. 11) Seasonal sounds of Christmas classics will be filling the music hall during Allen Community Band’s Christmas Concert! This concert features The Saints Hallelujah, Childhood Remembered and (of course) everyone's favorite: Sleigh Ride!

(Dec. 11) Ring in the holidays with a special "Holidays on Ice" performance by the Allen Academy of Skating and Allen Community Ice Rink Skaters.

(Dec. 15) It’s more than a concert – it’s a holiday party! Celebrate the legendary sounds of Doo Wop with its most beloved creators: The Drifters, The Cornell Gunter Coasters and The Platters.

(Dec. 16) Light up your holidays with a Celtic Christmas! Featuring violinist KeyReel, harpist Sarah Copus, and the groups Reel Treble and the North Texas Celtic Strings.

(Dec. 16) Join Santa for a swim and tell him what you want for Christmas at Don Rodenbaugh Natatorium’s Swim with Santa event! Santa is available for pictures with guests who bring their own cameras.

(Dec. 17) Kick off holiday break at Allen Community Ice Rink's annual Holiday Skate! Enjoy themed activities, festive holiday music and a holiday sweater contest. 

(Dec. 17, 18) Join the Allen Civic Ballet as they present Tchaikovsky’s holiday classic “The Nutcracker,” with live music by the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra! 

(Dec. 18) Celebrate the holidays with Allen Community Jazz Band as they play jazz and swing arrangements of holiday favorites, including "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree."

(Dec. 20) Team up with your family to compete in "reindeer games" and a tacky sweater design contest!

(Dec. 27) Slide in to a groovy-themed night at Disco Skate at Credit Union of Texas Event Center! Enjoy costume and dance contests, trivia and games and music from a live DJ.
