[ARCHIVED] Makeup collections for bulk and recycling scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 11

Community Waste Disposal (CWD) will run collections on Saturday, Feb. 11 for recycling and bulk/brush missed Tuesday through Friday of last week. CWD asks residents to please have their carts out by 7 a.m. on Feb. 11 with lids closed and allow until 5 p.m. for CWD to complete collections.

A separate CWD truck will collect the extra bags of trash after your trash bin is emptied. Please leave the extra bags of trash out until they are picked up. If you believe your extra bags were missed, please call CWD at 972.392.9300 (option 2) or complete a customer service form.

Fallen trees and branches
Many tree branches have snapped under the extra weight of ice. If a tree or branch is blocking a road, alley or sidewalk, contact the City of Allen 24-hour hotline at 214.509.4530 so crews can clear it. If you encounter a fallen limb or other storm debris on a City-owned park or trail, please report it using the MyAllen App. Property owners are responsible for cleaning up trees, limbs and branches which fall on their property. This includes business owners, homeowners and HOAs. Be sure to review disposal requirements for contractors and D-I-Y options before starting.

CWD appreciates continued patience from residents as crews work to catch up with collection from last week's severe weather delays. Collection is anticipated to complete by Saturday, Feb. 11.
