Pool areas at Don Rodenbaugh Aquatics Center are closed March 15 to June 15 while crews perform a major HVAC overhaul and demolish the existing waterslide. A new waterslide will be installed later in the summer.

Other areas of the facility, including the fitness floor and group exercise areas, will remain open during this period.

Once construction is finished, visitors will enjoy better ventilation and reduced humidity in pool areas. The new waterslide, to be installed later in the summer, will delight swimmers of all ages with new twists, turns and colorful lighting.

Members who do not expect to visit Don Rodenbaugh Aquatics Center while pools are closed may freeze their monthly membership by completing an online form. Members with a 3-month, 6-month or annual membership should complete the same form to be eligible for an extension of their membership equal to the time remaining between the date an extension is requested and the date the pool reopens.

Members will be unable to scan into Don Rodenbaugh Aquatics Center from the time the form is processed until their membership is unfrozen; other membership benefits, including discounted program rates and access to other recreation facilities, will also be forfeited during this time. Members can unfreeze their membership at any time by visiting the facility.
