MARCH 14, 2023 - Councilmembers approved the purchase of two new water disinfection systems to be installed at the Bethany and Rowlett water towers. These systems will ensure that disinfectant levels stay at the appropriate level from storage tank to kitchen sink.
These new systems also help the city save water by reducing the need to flush water out of fire hydrants during the hot summer months when disinfectant levels drop faster.
