High 5 Entertainment breaks ground at The Farm in Allen

Allen, Texas – (June 14, 2023) - Release courtesy JayRyCo Development and High 5 Austin-based High 5 Entertainment broke ground the week of June 14 on its new location at The Farm in Allen, a 135-acre mixed-use project at the southeast corner of Sam Rayburn Tollway and Alma Drive in Allen, Texas. The new venue will include a heavily landscaped miniature golf course, a 24-lane bowling alley, a two-story laser tag arena, axe throwing, escape rooms and a scratch kitchen with a full bar.

High 5, an upscale family entertainment company, will cover 3.09 acres of The Farm with a 41,784-square-foot building. The two-story layout will consist of a 30,252-square-foot ground floor and an 11,532-square-foot mezzanine floor. More than 25,000 square feet of landscaped minigolf will lie adjacent to the building.

“The Farm in Allen is proficiently designed to be a top mixed-use destination for Collin County residents and visitors,” said Scott Emley, president of High 5. “We are thrilled and humbled to partner with The City of Allen to bring High 5 to The Farm in Allen, adding to the development’s perfect blend of urban residential, senior living, retail, corporate headquarters, townhomes, lofts, restaurants and, of course, entertainment.”

JaRyCo Development, along with the original landowners, the Johnson family, have strategically chosen venues for The Farm in Allen that reflect its original history of gathering, community and making memories. This new entertainment anchor will offer craft food and beverages, bars and event spaces for Allen residents, business colleagues and visitors from the surrounding Collin County area.

“High 5 will bring a special component of family entertainment to The Farm in Allen, offering both Allen residents and visitors a great place to gather and build community,” said Bruce Heller, president of JaRyCo. “We spend a lot of time creating a great mix of unique amenities for The Farm, and we are extremely pleased to be the first Dallas-area location of High 5.”

The brainchild of co-founders Jennifer and Scott Emley, High 5 opened its first location in 2016 in Lakeway, Texas, and now has two Austin-area locations. All key features of High 5’s brand will be continued in the Allen location including an “Up Top” boutique bowling lounge featuring Duck Pin bowling and Virtual Reality. High 5 at The Farm in Allen is slated to open in late spring 2024.

High 5 will neighbor open-air entertainment venue The HUB, which opened late last year. Adding to The Farm’s amusement aspect, the project’s West Lake Park, which embraces the nature around it, will open this summer.

“High 5 Entertainment’s exciting new venue at The Farm in Allen will provide a unique experience for people of all ages,” said Matt Foster, Board President of the Allen Community Development Corporation. “We are proud to be part of this project that brings families together and strengthens our community."

Foster, Daniel Bowman with the Allen Economic Development Council and Allen Mayor Baine Brooks joined High 5, JaRyCo and Johnson Family members this week to celebrate the start of construction.

Parkway Construction is the general contractor for this project.

The Farm in Allen is planned to have 1.6 million square feet of office space, 142,000 square feet of retail, a 150-key hotel, 60,000 square feet of restaurants, 112 townhomes and 2,400 urban residential units. The development will also embrace the property’s natural beauty with a 1.5-acre lake, boardwalk restaurants, more than 2.5 miles of hike and bike trails, a 16-acre greenbelt along Watters Creek and four additional park areas.
