Allen Parks and Recreation has been named one of four finalists for a 2013 NRPA Gold Medal Award. The award is presented annually by the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA), in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) to honor excellence in management and planning of parks and recreation agencies.
