OnStage @ APL: The Karankawa

Thursday, September 15, 2022

For centuries the Karankawa controlled a more than 300 mile stretch of the Texas Gulf Coast until they were thought to have become extinct. Tom Seiter, Southern Methodist University PhD student, challenges both their presumed extinction and myths that they were "loathsome giants" and "cannibals". Mr. Seiter will be joined by Mr. Alex Perez, a linguist and cultural advisor to the Karankawan tribe.

This program will be presented live both in person and virtually via www.ACTV.org.  No registration is required to attend. Admittance is first come, first served.
