The REV box trailer is reserved for City staff use only. The box trailer is used at City of Allen Community Enrichment events.
REV rentals begin no earlier than 10:30 a.m. and must be finished by 11 p.m. No rentals on Fridays. Rentals are available for a maximum of three hours including setup and cleanup time. Please consult The Edge Visitor Center staff for booking dates.
How far in advance can I rent the REV?Book your rental at least 21 days in advance; maximum three months in advance.
A $100 security deposit is due for all rentals upon completion of the Rental Application. Rentals may be paid by a third party.
Any adult age 18 or older may submit the application (with requested date) through their local Homeowners Association and provide the security deposit payable to The Edge Visitor Center.
Cancellations must be made at least five working days prior to the scheduled rental date. Your deposit will be returned if canceled within this five-day window.
What if I need to change the date or time of the reservation?Amendments (date change, time extension, time subtraction, etc.) to the Rental Agreement must be made in person at The Edge Visitor Center at least five working days before the rental date.
Can the City of Allen terminate the reservation?Yes. As stated in the contract, if a City function conflicts with the rental, the City can move the rental to a different facility or cancel the rental.
Allen Parks and Recreation is not liable for any interruptions caused by power failures, emergency situations, or heat/air conditioning failures during the reservation time. Any exceptions to this policy should be made by the Center Supervisor.
Allen Parks and Recreation staff are responsible for transporting the REV to the rental location and providing rental amenities. The renter is responsible for cleaning the equipment and returning all items prior to conclusion of the rental. Setup and cleanup time is included in the rental time.
Example: If your rental is scheduled from 1 - 3 p.m., your setup begins at 1 p.m. All equipment must be taken down and cleaned up by 3 p.m.
During the rental, you're permitted to have prepared food, drinks, and/or chafing dishes to keep food warm. The renter is responsible for providing their own table and chairs.
Can our party include catering?Catering is permitted during rentals. The renter is responsible for coordinating with any third-party catering vendors.
Do we have access to a refrigerator or ice machine?Renters do not have access to a refrigerator or ice machine. We encourage renters to bring their own cooler to keep food and drinks cold.
Prohibited itemsAlcohol, firearms, smoke machines and open flames are not permitted at Allen public parks. It is also unlawful to park or operation a commercial vehicle or trailer on public park property.
Pavilion rentals should be coordinated through Allen Parks and Recreation Resource Scheduler at 214.509.4714. Our pavilions do not have patron accessible electricity.
Allen Parks and Recreation's REV program serves needs-based demographics in Allen through use of pop-up events and special programs. The REV serves but is not limited to the following demographics:
